Super Soft Kelp Noodles

I've tried many different AIP compliant noodles and honestly, kelp noodles are definitely one of my favorites. They have an excellent texture and no overwhelming taste to them, which makes them a great addition to any meal. After processing them, they end up being soft, translucent, and ready to eat!

How to make your kelp noodles soft


  • 1 bag of kelp noodles

  • hot tap water

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 a lemon, juiced


  1. Pour the bag of kelp noodles into a medium-sized bowl

  2. Rinse the noodles with water and then pour the water out

  3. Sprinkle baking soda over the noodles

  4. Add hot tap water to cover the noodles completely

  5. Add the juice of a 1/2 lemon to the bowl and mix the ingredients together

  6. Let it sit for 10 minutes

  7. Drain the liquid from the noodles and rinse the noodles well

  8. Enjoy your kelp noodles in any dish, no cooking required
